Try an E-Bike on Us!
The hustle and bustle of downtown London can make getting to a meeting or delivering a parcel a frustrating task. Enter the London Bicycle Café’s Bikes-for-Business Program, a groundbreaking initiative offering local businesses free e-bike use for several weeks.
Fresh off winning the prestigious London Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, London Bicycle Café co-owner Andrew McClenaghan aims to showcase how e-bikes can save time, reduce costs, and alleviate the headaches of navigating and parking downtown.

Why E-Bikes?
“In urban centres with dense populations, goods are often moved by bicycle. It’s time to bring that to London,” says McClenaghan. Whether it’s a meeting just a kilometre away or making quick deliveries, e-bikes eliminate the hassle of car trips and parking struggles.
The cafe’s e-bikes, which retail for $3,000 to $7,000, include pedal-assist technology and can even tow cargo trailers. For businesses ready to make the leap, London Bicycle Café offers financing and service packages to keep bikes in top condition.

Early Success Stories
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels tested an e-bike for a day and found it faster and more convenient for nearby food deliveries. “It’s always a challenge finding parking, especially downtown,” says executive director Chad Callander. The organization is now applying for a grant to purchase its own e-bike.
519 Pursuit
519 Pursuit, which supports unhoused individuals, has been piloting an e-bike and cargo trailer for months. Executive director Allison Deblaire says it’s been a “big step forward in support of food security,” allowing their team to reach more encampments and deliver critical resources efficiently.
A Sustainable Future
The Bikes-for-Business Program not only introduces businesses to the speed and convenience of e-bikes but also provides the tools to address climate challenges. London Bicycle Café maintains and stores the e-bikes, making it easy for organizations to integrate this sustainable transportation option.
“This is a whole untapped market. It could help change the city,” McClenaghan emphasizes. “It’s the right tool for the right job for the right business.”
