Pedals, Purpose, and Partnership: Supporting the Navy Bike Ride with HMCS Prevost

This spring, we’re proud to lend our support to the Navy Bike Ride and our friends at HMCS Prevost, London’s local Naval Reserve Division.

The Navy Bike Ride is a national initiative that encourages Canadians to get active, support our veterans, and build stronger, healthier communities — all through the simple joy of riding a bike.

We’re contributing in a small but meaningful way by donating coffee vouchers for participating riders at HMCS Prevost and two bike tune-up vouchers as part of their fundraising raffle. It’s our way of saying thank you to those who serve and to those riding in support of them.

Proceeds from the Navy Bike Ride go toward three remarkable charitable organizations:

  • The Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund, which supports veterans with emergency financial relief, housing, and service dog programs
  • Support Our Troops, offering direct help to military families dealing with illness, injury, and recovery
  • Soldier On, empowering recovering service members through sport, recreation, and the arts

Together, these charities help veterans and their families navigate life after service, focusing on recovery, resilience, and reintegration.

We’re honoured to be a small part of this effort, and to work alongside HMCS Prevost in building a more supportive and active community. If you’re curious to learn more or get involved, visit www.navybikeride.ca and consider taking part or supporting a rider.

See you on the road — and at the café.

P.S. If you’re visiting us at the café, don’t forget to take a short stroll across the river to see the newly opened Battle of the Atlantic Memorial at HMCS Prevost. This beautiful waterfront tribute honours the sacrifices of those who served in the longest and most critical campaign of the Second World War. It’s a powerful reminder of our naval history and the bravery of Canadians who served at sea.
