Roadside Assistance for Cyclists!

Did You Know? CAA Offers Roadside Assistance for Cyclists!

Breakdowns happen, and they are pain in the rear wheel.

For those who cycle as part of their daily commute or enjoy biking on weekends, road trouble doesn’t always mean car trouble! That’s where CAA’s Bike Assist comes in. Available to CAA members, this unique service provides on-the-go support for cyclists facing common issues, like flat tires, broken chains, or other mechanical breakdowns. Just as CAA would help you with a car issue, they’ll dispatch assistance for your bicycle, offering quick fixes or transporting you and your bike to a location where repairs can be made if necessary. Need a lift to our Service Centre? no sweat.

Already have a CAA membership? You are likely already covered for Bike Assist.

As more Canadians shift to biking for commuting and leisure, programs like Bike Assist show how CAA adapts to support this greener lifestyle choice. The service is especially appealing because it includes standard bicycles and even some e-bikes, covering those equipped with an external electric motor but not mopeds or motorized scooters. Available in several regions across Canada, the program is steadily expanding due to growing interest.

Bike Assist is a perfect backup plan for cyclists and families. It covers minors as long as a parent or guardian is present and even attempts to transport child trailers if a tow is necessary. Whether you’re a dedicated cyclist or just enjoy a casual ride, CAA’s Bike Assist offers peace of mind and safety on every journey.
