This spring, Ontario’s best bike business is hitting the road, literally. London Bicycle Café’s Bike Sales Manager, Andrew Hunniford, is embarking on a fully self-supported bikepacking adventure from London to Windsor to attend and speak at the Ontario Bike Summit 2025. His ride is more than just transportation, it’s a statement about active travel, local connection, and the power of bicycles to bridge communities.

The Journey: A Self-Supported Adventure
Total Distance: ~ 450 km return trip
Bike: Tern HSD (pedal assist)
Mode: Solo ride with all camping gear, presentation materials, and digital content equipment in tow
Andrew departs May 26, charting a course along the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, one of North America’s most scenic and inspiring routes. Along the way, he’ll be camping, creating content, and reconnecting with the beautiful landscapes that inspire our work every day.
Route Overview:

- Day One: London to Erieau (~112 km)
Featuring Elgin County’s vibrant fishing hamlets, perch diners, and lakeside charm. Overnight camping near Erieau.

A shift from wind-swept farms to award-winning wineries and urban trails. Arrival in Windsor for the summit and hotel check-in. - May 27–28: Ontario Bike Summit at Caesars Windsor
Andrew will be staying with fellow attendees at the official conference hotel. - May 28: Presentation by Andrew Hunniford
“Bikes for Business: The Future of Urban Mobility” – showcasing how cargo bikes and utility e-bikes are transforming the way businesses move and grow. - May 29–30: Return Journey
A mirror of the outbound route with an overnight camp near Erieau, rolling back into London on May 30.
